SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a HR Officer to join a fast paced, professional HR Team based in Milton Keynes.
The position holder will provide an effective, efficient, timely and professional generalist HR service to operational management, functions management and employees across the UK, advising and guiding on the full remit of HR issue, policies and practices. The HR Officer will support the business with change initiatives and the implementation of projects as required.
Key responsibilities:
Provide appropriate, accurate and consistent advice to management and staff on all Company HR related policies/procedures and employee relation issues, including attendance management, disciplinary and grievance processes, performance management, health and wellbeing, TUPE processes and contract termination procedures.
Attend disciplinary, grievance and appeal hearings, taking accurate and appropriate notes and ensuring subsequent investigations are carried out to meet both company and legal requirements for a fair and consistent procedure.
Support and advise managers during business restructures/changes to ensure fair and consistent procedures are adhered to during any redundancy processes
Maintain good relationships with TU bodies, undertaking regular communication to resolve issues at the earliest opportunity.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and company policy to ensure a delivery a service which properly balances best practice, compliance and commercial pragmatism.To support employee managers with the development of their knowledge and understanding of employment law and best practice by providing advice, coaching and training.
To support employee managers in welfare and capability processes, including managing occupational health referrals to ensure cases are managed in a timely, professional manner giving due consideration to all factors and support opportunities.
Ensuring all relevant legal considerations are achieved when taking any steps to manage employee cases.
The candidate:
Chartered member of CIPD
Demonstratable experience in a HR Officer or similar level position, advising managers on the full spectrum of HR matters.
Sound knowledge of employment law, particularly relating to disciplinary, absence management and equality.
Experience of working in a fast environment (e.g. manufacturing, retail, logistics etc.)
Knowledge of HR best practice
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Excellent stakeholder management skills
Good time management skills, able to prioritise and remain calm under pressure
Practical problem-solving ability
Ability adhere to deadlines and adopt flexibility in working hours.
Driving licence
IT – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
The position will offer a salary of £33,700, car allowance of £5K, individual health cover and an opportunity to work remotely up to 4 days per week.
