HR Manager- Maternity Cover
12-month maternity cover contract. Start Mid July
Part Time 22.5 hours per week

In this standalone HR position, reporting directly to the Chief Executive you will provide a professional HR service across our organisation which has a workforce of around 75 permanent staff, 100 seasonal staff and around 200 volunteers.
Delivering a comprehensive HR service, the HR Manager works closely with line managers and the senior management team, advising on best practice and employee relations, organisational culture, handling day to day HR queries and administration, handling disciplinary and grievance matters and managing performance and capability issues, managing recruitment and onboarding, maintaining and implementing policies and coordinating a partially outsourced monthly payroll. As this is a stand-alone role the HR Manager is responsible for all associated administrative duties and must take a hands-on approach. Support is available for help with administrative duties with payroll being mainly managed by our Finance Team.
We are looking for a candidate with experience and interest in Workplace Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. The HR Manager will be required to manage a project during the 12-month maternity cover to champion diversity within our organisation and to develop plans to help the Trust become a more diverse organisation that provides opportunities for all.
Essential requirements for the post
CIPD qualified (ideally to level 5)
Up-to-date knowledge of employment law
At least five-year experience in HR preferably in a generalist role at a senior level
Demonstrable experience of managing Employee Relations
Demonstrable experience of managing and encouraging Workplace Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
Approachable and friendly personality
Desirable requirements for the post
Previous experience of working in a standalone role, or small team
Voluntary sector experience
Payroll knowledge or experience
An interest in Parks and the outdoors
