Accountabilities
The HR Assistant will provide entry level HR generalist support to the Director of HR and HR Business Partner amongst other team members. Working in a small and close-knit team you will collectively look after the employees in the UK offices.
Specifically, you will support the team with recruitment and reference checking, producing all contracts, support the full induction process for new joiners, liaise with managers to coordinate the review process, administer the benefits package, monitor employee attendance, managing sickness and holidays, dealing with correspondence. You may also be involved other HR projects and to generally assist in the smooth running of this busy department. You will be the first point of call for many staff member and new recruits; making sure that the experience is a positive one. You will need to be pro-active in your approach and be able to keep information confidential which is critical in this role.
This is an entry-level role for a candidate with a desire and passion to pursue a career in HR. If you have 6months administrative experience that would be of benefit. You will need proven organisational and IT skills as well as the desire to study CIPD or similar qualification.
Personal Profile
* You will be either a very recent graduate of either HR or Business Studies or an undergraduate looking for a year-long industrial placement
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to multi-task and be flexible
* Strong administrative skills
* Good attention to detail
* Good team player
* Good telephone manner
* Computer literate including Microsoft Office
* Willingness to study for a professional HR qualification such as CIPD
