Health and Safety Manager
QHSE function for the scope of the organisation’s activities and effective management to achieve continuous improvement with respect to health and safety, environmental and quality performance.
Health and Safety Manager Key Responsibilities
* To ensure effective provision of QHSE support for the scope of the organisation’s activities with all interested parties.
* Management and review of the organisation’s ISO9001:2015, 14001:2015 and 45001:2018 Quality, Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems and associated procedures, and periodic reporting on systems’ performance to the management review board.
* Hosting external auditor visits and implement any corrective actions required for observations, minor and major non-conformities in a concise and timely manner.
* Conduct internal management system audits within the scope of the organization’s ISO9001:2015, 14001:2015 and 45001:2018 Management Systems, manage corrective actions accordingly and report findings to the senior management team.
* Conduct site inspections and compile health and safety reports.
* Development and review of QHSE policies and procedures, and management and monitoring of documentation and processes for all QHSE matters.
* Chair bi-monthly QHSE Representatives Meetings.
* Compilation of required QHSE data for tender, PQQ and SSIP submissions, professional bodies to which the organisation subscribes (e.g. Gas Safe, NICEIC, OFTEC) and ensuring compliance with their requirements.
* Liaison and engagement with employees, clients, and internal/external interested parties for all QHSE matters.
* Health and safety and environmental accident, incident, and near miss investigation and review.
* Analysis of data obtained within the 14001 EMS; review of aspects, impacts and operational control in accordance with the requirements of the Standard and the production of environmental performance reports and organisation carbon footprint.
* Review of any quality complaints received by internal and external interested parties in accordance with the Standard.
* Ensuring statutory and procedural compliance is monitored and maintained in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and all applicable legislation and standards. Ensuring that any new or updated legislation is effectively communicated to the business.
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the QHSE boundaries.
* Development and review of QHSE training requirements and plans.
* Encourage and promote a positive culture for all health and safety and environmental matters with consideration for the context of the organisation with respect to all interested internal and external parties.
* The professional presentation of data and reports to the senior management team.
Training
* NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety IOSH (Technical membership)
* ISO 9001/14001/BS OHSAS 18001 or 45001 Internal Auditor
Health and Safety Manager Experience (Essential)
* Management of Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental and
* Quality Management Systems within a large business operation
* Sound engineering background, experience within the FM environment and management experience
* Excellent IT and communication skills
