Job Title – Employee Relations Service Manager
Location – Milton Keynes
Rates – £283.88 – PAYE or £325.13 Ltd/Umbrella

My client is looking for an enthusiastic Employee Relations Service Manager to join their busy team based in Milton Keynes for a period of 6 months. As the Employee Relations Service Manager you will manage the contractual performance and business relationship on behalf of the company with our internal and external third party service providers to optimise the efficiency, effectiveness and economy of the service and relationship described by the contract. In particular, HRSS and employee relations service providers. To provide an Employee Relations service for escalated and complex cases through a team of Employee Relations Advisers.
What you will do:
Transition for the ER System Intervention to act as an additional escalation point for the Regions and Routes to obtain help and advice on their handoff cases where they have become accountable for making strategy recommendations and may be facing unions in employment meetings for the first time
To support the existing ERSM availability to support covid to take case escalations of an ER nature from HR Direct which are rapidly increasing due to the full restart of ER cases since the lift of the Emergency Working Principles
To Support the functional management of the ERAs reporting to the ERSM in terms of case management and workload. (ERA has just returned from one years maternity leave)
To support the development of ER skills in the graduate rotation to assist with workloads longer term
To support and oversee the response to ETs/ACAS requests, FOI requests and operational requests such as HR Direct access and feedback loops between NR and HR Direct
To assist the policy manager in preparations for background letters, forms and guides to be updated in time for the policy relaunches expected
Your experience will include:
Essential
Experience of managing a third party contract for the provision of services and associated relationship management responsibility.
Experience of monitoring, measuring and reporting quality measures and performance metrics.
Strong technical employment law skills
Strong commercial acumen and awareness.
Passionate about customer service with ability to articulate previous achievements through business deliverables.
Proven stakeholder and relationship management skills.
Excellent communication skills
Team management experience
MCIPD qualification or relevant HR experience.
Desirable
Experience of establishing and monitoring contractual terms, obligations and potential risks.
Understanding of project management principles and experience of managing projects to successful conclusion.
