Warehouse Manager

£47,000 to £50,000 DOE

Are you an experienced Warehouse Manager looking for a new, exciting position where you can improve processes and help the business grow? We have a brilliant opportunity with a successful international company whose Distribution Centre is based in Milton Keynes.

Do you have:

Experience of managing warehouse staff in excess of 150 people
Experience of operating both day and night shifts.
Experience of running multiple WH facilities i.e. external and internal.
Experience creating warehouse floor plans, racking specifications, and allocating and organising warehouse locations.
Experience working with various software and Warehouse Management systems.

Key Tasks

Ensure all tasks are allocated within the warehouse to ensure the daily workload can be carried out within the KPI's set
Manage and communicate with the assistant warehouse managers to manage and monitor the daily workflow smoothly.
Monitor and review the performance of all the managers/supervisors in order that members of their teams are working in a correct and efficient manner.
Ensure that inventory accuracy levels are continually improved.
Ensure that all staff working within the warehouse are adhering to the Health and Safety Policies as implemented by the company.
Ensure employees are multi skilled in all areas of the warehouse function so they can be moved around sections if required. Continually review the structure of the warehouse operation on a regular basis to ensure correct manning levels are in place.
Pro-actively seek to improve the quality of the warehouse operation.
Monitor and seek ways to reduce costs within the warehouse. Review purchasing costs for equipment/materials every 6 months at a minimum. Negotiate the costs associated with suppliers/shipping.
Communicate internally with other departments on day-to-day issues and discuss business workloads.
Communicate openly with the Assistant to the Managing Director so they are fully aware of all issues within the operation.
Manage the security of the building so the risk of theft is minimised.
Meet and exceed the monthly sales target where the work is available.

Analyse and improve the efficiency of the warehouse functions to meet business requirements.WE WOULD PREFER YOUR CV IN WORD FORMAT
