Assistant Warehouse Manager

Role Profile

Cast UK are supporting our client, who is a rapidly growing fulfilment business, in their recruitment process for a Assistant Warehouse Manager, based in Milton Keynes. Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee a team of professionals within a busy operation. providing a clear communications network between warehouse operatives and the managing team, whist also managing the costs and budgets of a growing business.

Key Accountabilities:

Accountable for ensuring company operating metrics within the depot are delivered.
Ensure operational costs are managed to budget, with appropriate colleague rota planning and scheduling to meet anticipated activity levels.
Ensure the operation operates safely and that all colleagues are aware of their personal obligations and commitment to being serious about safety.
Improve the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the depot and develop a culture of operational excellence.
Ensure appropriate training plans are in place for all colleagues to ensure their skill and competence meet their job role requirements.
Ensure first in class service is met, with all orders on time and in full.Skills & Experience

Financial understanding and cost management.
Operational experience gained within a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable leading a team of operatives in a busy environment, providing leadership and development to the team.
Knowledge of appropriate legislation and its impact on operation.
Experience in warehouse operations.Client information
