The Warehouse and Logistics Manager position is focused upon implementing a number of continuous improvement projects with a market-leading International Manufacturing organization. The business has an impressive global footprint of operations, based close to the Newport Pagnell area.
This is an excellent opportunity to establish yourself with a genuine market leader as you grow and develop a team of circa 40 warehouse and logistics personnel, whilst driving continuous improvement projects across all aspects of warehouse and logistics operations in the business. The position is days-based Monday to Friday, e.g 8-4, 9-5 etc
Key Duties of the Warehouse Manager;
· The leading, coaching, and developing of a team of warehouse and logistics operatives
· Experience in working with teams to drive continuous improvement
· The coordination and management of warehouse and logistic operations
· Regular communication with manufacturing operations and logistics providers to ensure to the smooth transition of parts and finished product through to factory and out for dispatch#
· The reconfiguration of the warehouse layout and supporting process flow from manufacturing operations
· The introduction of a barcoding system to enable to effective tracking and reporting of stock from raw material to finished product
What you need to apply:
Experience in managing warehouse operations
Experience of working within a manufacturing warehouse and logistics-based background as a warehouse manager / logistics manager
Knowledge of global export procedures & shipping documentation
Proven track record in leading a team, with the ability to inspire and develop teams
The ability to undertake the re-design and planning or logistics operations including process and value stream mapping
