Van Driver (3.5t)/ Install Operative

Salary: £21,000 – £24,000 D.O.E

Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm (onsite at 8:30am)

Location: based in Milton Keynes

Will be covering local areas such as Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and also London

Our client is looking for a capable and physically fit individual to join them on a permanent basis as a Van Driver/ Install Operative. You will be responsible for transporting the equipment and ensuring safe handling into customer's site. It's important to know this is fairly heavy equipment, it's not just delivering small parcels.

If you have a driving licence (ideally clean), are physically fit and are happy to work in an active driving role where you will get a sweat on, this role is for you!

Job responsibilities of Van Driver/ Install Operative are:

Deliver and collect equipment to/from customer's sites ensuring no damage occurs to equipment either in transit or on customer's sites
Makes sure the correct items are ready to be loaded according to the paperwork
Driving to customer's sites efficiently and in a timely & safe manner, keeping vehicles clean and tidy and ensuring servicing and road legality is maintained
Accurate reporting when closing jobs with attention paid to response times and call closing
Put returned machines in warehouse in a neat and controlled manner and accurately report and label to ensure accurate stock records
Keep warehouse tidy during quiet periods
Obtains signed receipts for the goods that are delivered / taken away
Ad-hoc tasks given by Office manager, Service Manager and MD
Ensure in quiet periods that any training that is required is taken and completed where possible
Plans and times the route, loads, or supervises the loading of, the van and secures the load
Communication with Installation Engineer to coordinate meeting at customer sites required
