A rapidly expanding successful group that encompasses all aspects of the meat trade, we are currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor to join our Operation at our Milton Keynes Depot. Our business which is a Catering Butcher has over 100 years' experience in the meat and farming industries. All products are prepared in the factory at Manchester daily to each customer's specifications, packaged and labelled to and above legislation and then delivered direct throughout the UK.

As a Transport Supervisor your primary responsibilities will be to support the General Manager and be responsible for the day-to-day transport office administration tasks and transport planning, with the aim of learning the complete transport function and supporting roles.
The role holder will also be required to deputize for the General Manager.
Working Hours are Monday to Saturday 12:00 – 18:00 with additional flexibility as required to meet the needs of the business.
Main responsibilities include:
Transport Administrative Duties – Create manual vehicle routing and delivery schedules for the following working day and print, ensuring all routes are cost effective.
POD's – Returned POD's from each individual driver/route are checked ensuring they are correctly signed in accordance with the company's procedure.
Communicating with the drivers – Dealing with any issues that may arise throughout the afternoon.
Liaising with the drivers when arriving back to the depot ensuring all collections and returns are correctly documented and palletized and ready for dispatch to Irlam the following day.
Assist in vehicle cleanliness and support drivers on their return.
Driver de-briefs.
Report – Complete a daily report at the end of each shift and email to the General Manager detailing any discrepancies or concerns regarding the routing for the next day's deliveries.We would welcome applications with the following skills; Transport Planner, Transport Administrator, Transport Supervisor, Distribution, Logistics, Customer Service, Communication, Planning, IT Literate, Excel, Scheduling, Reporting.
