Adecco are looking for a NEBOSH qualified Site Services Supervisor with responsibility for Health & Safety and Statutory Compliance and Risk Assessments.
This is a temporary to permanent role and is paying a minimum of £12.50 per hour in Milton Keynes working 37 hours
Principal responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities will be discussed at interview in accordance with the applicant's experience. Policy and strategy
Be responsible for putting together a strategy and a plan for Health and safety and Statutory compliance
Be responsible for health and safety on site, ensuring that the School has all relevant policies, risk assessments and codes of practice.
Assist in devising and supervising strategic plans for repairs, maintenance and development of School premises and grounds, including rolling programmes and contingency plans. Leadership and management of staff
Work with individuals in the team to review current Health & safety checks, logs and identify gaps. Operations and service delivery
To assist in the day to day maintenance of the School premises.
To assist in the facilitation of work of outside contractors.
To be included in the out of hours list where necessary and attend the premises in the event of an alarm call out.
To carry out from time to time any other duties within the competence of the job holder, that may be reasonably required.
Administration
All administrative tasks related to the role including the development of specifications,
work rotas, absence management, etc. Maintenance of accurate and comprehensive records.
Preparation of reports and analyses, with proposals for action.
Attendance at internal and external meetings as required.
General Accountabilities
So far as is reasonably practicable, the post holder must ensure that safe working practices are adopted by employees, and in site/work areas for which the post holder is responsible, to maintain a safe working environment for employees and service users. These are defined in the School's Health & Safety Policy, departmental polices and codes of practice.
