Our client, based in Milton Keynes, requires a Shipping Clerk for an initial period of 12 months. Working in their busy warehouse, you must have a current Reach forklift licence, be detail focused and be a pro-active member of the team. Experience of using order pickers and a pallet rider would be advantageous.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Goods In: Receiving deliveries from drivers; unloading delivery vehicles; booking in deliveries; querying any issues that arise with purchasing; maintaining records.
Goods Out: Booking shipments using TNT, FedEX and other carriers; packing and preparing shipments; preparing paperwork; releasing goods to carriers; loading delivery vehicles; resolving customs issues/delays.
General Activities: House-keeping; fork lift checks; safety walks; management of consumable items (bubble wrap, cardboard boxes, labels etc.); inventory management (supporting Operations team).
