The Employer:

Our client is a leading blue-chip food manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. Due to continued growth they are looking for an experienced Production Operative to join their shift team. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's largest food manufacturers who supply into all the major supermarkets.

Role & Responsibilities:

*Simultaneously run multiple production lines, ensuring all lines meet their KPI targets (including wastage and efficiency).
*Ensure the smooth production flow of product throughout the process.
*Report any health & safety issues to the Team leader or Production Manager immediately
*Actively drive continuous improvement in your work area.
*Clean production lines and factory areas when required.
*Responsible for the quality of product produced in their work area.
*Operate Multivac and Flowrap machines, ensuring that the correct quantity of quality of product is packed into the correct packaging
*Mix batches, strictly according to the mix sheet / specification and company standards.
*Optimise production line capacity at all times.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

*Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment – Must
*Effective team player with strong organisational skills
*Experience running Multivac and Flowrap lines & Machines.
*Must be able to communicate clearly with colleagues and management in English (verbally and written).
*PC Literacy – Basic use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
*Lean Manufacturing / TPM experience
*Level 2 HACCP or Level 3 Food safety would be very beneficial
*Must have an understanding of HACCP
*Knowledge of highly regulated environments, risk assessments & health & safety
