An established FMCG company are looking to expand their engineering department and, as a result, is recruiting an Shift Engineering Manager.

Description
As the Shift Engineering Manager you will be coordinating the maintenance schedules ensuring the team are on top of reactive and preventative maintenance tasks. You will work closely with the engineers, supporting with hands on electro-mechanical maintenance. You will also be supporting the facilities team with some building maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team in the maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment
Organise, plan and monitor maintenance work
Coordinating all the activities of the maintenance department
Monitoring progress and improvement of delivery
Implement and monitor KPIs; analysing them and developing improvement plans for both equipment and team
Work collaboratively with the senior management team to monitor and development production equipment and research potential investment areas
Supervise equipment installation/upgrades
Manage a small team (briefing, training, KPIs, etc.)
Analyse trends of recurring issues encountered and support the teams in implementing long term solutions to be implemented
Develop and up-skill team
Ensure the safety and of all maintenance operations: applying, reinforcing the safety instructions
Enforce and apply best practice procedures and safety instructions
Alert senior management on all major events
Coordinate with the Health and Safety team
Depending on the work team load and according to business needs, carry out electro-mechanical maintenance tasks
THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE YOU TO WORK ONE WEEK OF NIGHTS EVERY SIX WEEKS
Profile
This role is suited to an electrically biased engineer with leadership experience looking to develop their career or an established engineering supervisor looking for a new challenge & management exposure. The successful applicant will also have the following:
FMCG/food manufacturing/distribution experience
Formal electrical engineering qualifications
Electro-mechanical capability (hands on machine fixes)
Proven track record working with the wider/team business in order to improve maintenance procedures
The ability to manage a team's KPIs, performance and day to day maintenance schedule
Job Offer
Circa £42,000 – £47,000 + Additional Benefits
