Domus are recruiting for a Regional Head of Operations within a national charity; if successful you will be responsible for overseeing between 5 direct reports across sites delivering supported living, outreach and short stay care services for individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health issues and complex needs. The current services reporting to the RHO are located in the Midlands including Milton Keynes and North West. The role will require a full understanding and experience in both quality of care and business operations including HR, Marketing and policies and procedures.
The role is home based but will involve extensive travel across the Region. The role will require a full understanding and experience in both quality of care and business operations including HR, Marketing and policies and procedures. It’s a hands-on role so this individual will need to be strong in development and growth, being influential with relationship building with commissioners and local authorities. Also, this person needs to be confident whilst maintaining a person-centred care/approach.
Key Responsibilities of a Regional Head of Operations:
Work closely with Directors, the Board and Senior Management team to develop and apply the strategy for the services.
Identify opportunities for improved performance of the existing services and future developments.
To enhance the profile and credibility of the services by developing positive relationships and partnerships with placing authorities, families and other professionals.
To ensure that locality/registered managers meet the requirements of their registration and placing authority requirements.
Ensure that all services are prepared and ready for the regulatory body inspections.
To safeguard all service users and to ensure good safeguarding procedures and principals are in place and applied consistently as per local safeguarding policies.
To work with Managers to ensure that referrals and applications are made as and when necessary and within the set times.
Contribute and review the assessments and new referrals and when required.
Ensure that all staff effectively manage challenging behaviour, behaviour incidents are reviewed and managed safely and in best interest of the service user.
Maintain effective daily contact with internal and external colleagues and work effectively and positively with relatives, advocates and others involved with service users.
To effectively implement policies and procedures of the company across your designated area.
Liaise with Managers and staff from other departments to provide a consistent approach to all aspects of service user care.
Regional Head of Operations Requirements:
At least five years' experience in a multi-site operational management capacity in a health and social care setting
Need to have evidence of managing a large portfolio of services and managing a large staff team, i.e 15+ services.
Have a strong background in working with adults who display behaviour that may challenge and a knowledge/evidence of supporting people (with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and ABI).
Professional qualification equivalent to degree level or management qualification (QCF Level 5 in Social Care Management or equivalent) or working towards this
Due to the nature of this post, a full and clean UK driving license is essential as is a willingness to travel across the geographical region or elsewhere as required
