This business is hiring an R&D Manager, a key influencer and innovator within the QSR and branded foodservice world. A Product Developer who understands Generation Z and Millennials' food wants. This is due to continued growth for a brand on the up. They are opening to 50 new sites every year, yet they are still a size where you will 100% make an impact.

The UK R&D Manager position is supported by an incredible Commercial team, across Digital and E-Commerce. There is also an enviable roster of suppliers and branded partnerships working in collaboration, to bring the customer the latest on-trend flavours as well as menu additions based on cultural trends from consumer insights.

The R&D Manager's remit that you'll fill demands creativity. Fully supported by a Marketing Director who has a hunger for first-to-market launches. Whilst you provide direction to NPD, you're also elbow-deep in creating a roadmap for the obesity strategy, being the ethical compass in the QSR sector.

Its within your remit to steer HFSS reduction. Being at the vanguard of calorie reduction, whilst maintaining flavour in a world where sustainability, traceability and health have never been so high on consumer's agendas. Yet we all crave our comfort food and the chance to make the choice for health-wealth and flavour, we'd rather not have to compromise too much. As R&D Manager for the UK you're being empowered to create the strategy that designs, evaluates, refines and pushes all boundaries as you tackle the UK's obesity strategy for this brand and consider its environmental impact too.

This role suits you because you'd rather kick the door open whilst clutching hundreds of ideas to throw at your team, than meekly sit tight and wait for good fortune to fall in your lap. You'll work with your colleagues from all around the world and take inspiration from peers, food trends, cultural movements and food science.

There's travel involved here. You'll be around the country meeting suppliers, stores and colleagues spreading your food message. Clearly, we want energy and drive to deliver this. As such we expect you to have held a similar role previously where you have directed the food agenda in a fast moving and demanding sector.
