Site QA Manager – Food industry

Haddenham

Hours, 8am -5pm (flexibility is needed)

We have a very unique opportunity as an experienced Site Quality Assurance Manager within the Food Industry. Due to internal promotion this position is located with a major site in Haddenham. You will be responsible for the management and positive leadership of the Quality & Food Safety programmes. Ensuring the site is fully compliant, achieving Quality objective and KPI targets.

Role and responsibilities

* Manage the Performance and Development of the Site Quality Team

* Accountable for all Quality and Food Safety programs on-site

* Provide leadership on Quality and Food Safety issues, whilst supporting Operational activities within the site

* Manage the plant Quality Budget, applying appropriate Financial Controls, ensuring that site spending is managed appropriately whilst implementing cost-saving initiatives where required

* Responsible for implementing EMEA, regulatory, Third-party and Customer standards within the site

* When appropriate deputise for Quality Director

* Drive a quality and food safety culture at all times

* Continuously improve the Quality performance within the site

Skills and experience

* Food Based Degree (work experience will be considered)

* HACCP Level 3, internal auditing and inspection qualifications

* Experience within a food production environment working with Quality Management Systems

* Experience in the application of HACCP, quality systems management, internal auditing, pest control, RCA & CAPA Management

* Knowledge of HACCP level 4, trained trainer, Yellow Belt Six Sigma or equivalent – advantageous

* Knowledge of Risk Management

* Ability to provide supervision, conduct competency assessments and deliver training

* Ability to work under pressure whilst turning a problem into a challenge and reflecting a positive attitude within the team
