QA Tester / Technologist – Milton Keynes

Allstaff Recruitment (Milton Keynes) are currently seeking a QA Tester / Technologist based in Milton Keynes for an expanding and market leading company. There is travel to another site so a driving license is essential.

The role…

As QA Tester / Technologist your role will involve the following important duties:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
 Day to day specification creation and management, ensuring product and product labelling is legal and factual.
 Management of HACCP, Technical Reports, Contaminants & Non Conformance Logs, complaints, microbiological & nutritional surveillance, pest control coordination of actions and visit compliance; this work includes data entry, trending, information requests, co-ordination of actions, change management
procedure and communicating to relevant parties.
 Management of 3rd party audits and closing of non-conformities within allocated time frame. An understanding of licencing approval process is highly desirable but not essential.
 Developing and managing the HACCP team in the packaging department ensuring critical control points are managed accordingly.
 Ownership of specification management, writing specifications, ensuring that product labelling is accurate and ensuring products are legal.
 Horizon scanning emerging and current regulations; including both food safety and hard component regulations, ensuring management teams are briefed accordingly.

Essential Skills and Attributes
 Food Hygiene and HACCP Level 3 are essential to this role.
 Must have excellent communication skills, both orally and written.
 It is essential that you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work with cross functional teams both internally and externally.
 Analytical thinking with the ability to effectively research and analyse externally

Salary – £30k plus excellent benefits

Location – Milton Keynes

Type of Contract – Permanent

Hours – 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday (flexible)
