Project Operations Manager
Based: Hybrid with offices based in High Wycombe
Term: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £42000pa
Overview:
We're looking for a highly motivated Project Operations Manager to join the Programme Department and support its Project Management and Agile Delivery functions with the delivery of new hardware and software products to market. The right candidate must be organised, a quick learner, and able to coordinate with cross-functional departments that include members of Product Management, Operations, Engineering, Sales and Marketing to evolve and transform the frameworks used to deliver projects and provide valuable business insights to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure our bespoke project management framework reflects the current working methods and best practices from all departments engaged in the new product development process, ensuring it is fit for purpose and maintained to a high standard.
* Work with stakeholders from multiple departments and business units to make sure solutions are developed and implemented successfully to address business problems.
* Ownership of Programme and Project Management data architecture. Ensure the right data is available and meets the requirements of the Programme department and other stakeholders across the business. Create and maintain data models using Power BI to ingest data from multiple sources and use them to build reports and dashboards
* Ownership of internal project management process backlog, working with the Programme Team to prioritise and deliver value.
* Administrate and make configuration updates to our enterprise Project Management and resource management software packages, SharePoint and online assets so they meet the evolving needs of the Programme Department and Project Teams
* Create and maintain process documentation to ensure projects run efficiently and predictably.
* Champion our ‘Lessons Learned' process designed to capture project learnings across the new product development portfolio.
Skills and experience required:
* Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in a process-driven environment.
* Passion for process efficiency, modelling and continuous improvement designed to help teams achieve their full potential.
* An interest in Business Intelligence and leveraging data to define and uphold KPIs.
* Ability to engage with and manage stakeholders at multiple levels, including design engineers, team managers and wider departmental stakeholders to drive and implement change.
* Experience in requirements gathering and documentation.
* Demonstrable experience using Business Analysis techniques to define and implement solutions.
* Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
* Exceptional organisation and time-management skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience using Power BI to create and maintain data models and reports.
* Experience with New Product Development cycles and processes (Hardware and Software)
* Experience using Change Management techniques.
