Our client has a permanent vacancy for a Project Manager. The role can be done primarily remotely, however there will be some expectation to attend the Milton Keynes Office for a proportionate amount of the working week/month – to be agreed.
The main purpose of this role is to ensure the formal control of projects within the business. To lead projects and define plans, identify and manage risks, schedules and milestones leading to manage execution of the projects and assuring they meet time, budget and requirement/objective measures.
In summary they are responsible for:
• Leading projects across the business.
• Ensuring projects and objectives are clearly defined; business case driven.
• Project success; on time, to budget and delivering requirements. Objectives delivery.
• Managing project sponsors, owners and stakeholders
• Ensuring project requirements are clear and understood
• Ensuring budget is defined and available (Project and BAU Run)
• Managing interdependencies, risks, issues and decisions
You will do this by…..
• Create and deliver project plans and ensure clear requirements.
• Identify resources and assign responsibilities.
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s).
• Competent in required project methodology.
• Ensures project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored and shared.
• Works closely with relevant sponsor, ownership and stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).
• Understands project business case with a focus on project budget. This to include project budget/ costs and on-going run costs impacting BAU.
• Submits project updates and status reports to sponsor, owners and stakeholders; reviews progress, successes, challenges and schedules.

• Project management background with proven success
• A qualification or relevant experience in project management or equivalent discipline
• Driven, leads by example, proactive, highly energetic and positive
• Team player, ability to build and manage senior relationships internally and externally
• Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
• Proven experience in people management
• Experience in strategic planning, risk management and change management is advantageous
• Proficient in project management tools and best-practises
• Skills in the production and review of business cases
• Budgeting and financial/commercial awareness
• Organisational skills
• Analytical skills
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
• Communication skills
• Diplomacy
• Ability to motivate people
• Extensive Project Management expertise proven within a multi discipline environments
• Certified in formal methods (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Prince2, PMI)
• Corporate organisation experience and knowledge; working in matrix organisation with global/regional governance
• Strong financial and commercial acumen
• Project Management discipline, including scheduling, delivery, tracking and reporting
• Project Management analysis and success criteria
• Good communication and negotiation skills

• Good IS&T knowledge and experience
• 3rd Party Service Provider Management
