Our established client is going through a period of expansion and looking to hire a number of Production Operatives to join their existing team. There is a strong bias on personal and professional growth and the chance to develop your skills in a variety of areas. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is wishing to either start or further their career within a food manufacturing and warehouse environment.

As a Production Operative you will start of the in the main manufacturing hub, though dependent on existing skills or your willingness to learn there will be the opportunity to work in other departments within the business.

We are looking for applicants to demonstrate a willingness, enthusiasm to learn and develop and ultimately excel. As our client is keen to hire ambitious individuals in all areas of the business.

Working hours are 2 weeks of days 4 on 3 off, then 3 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts, 6am-6pm, Followed by 2 weeks of nights working 6pm-6am 4 on 3off, then 3 on 4 off.

Pay rate: £9.45 per hour for days and £11.70 for nights

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing a range of food products
Picking and packing products
Following production specifications
Working in as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment
Cutting and preparing
Working within a chilled or ambient environment
Working to production schedules to ensure plans are met
Following and complying with strict Health, Safety and Hygiene practices at all timeThe following skills are essential for this Production Operative position; –

A flexible and committed approach to work as there may be a requirement to work in other areas
Devote full attention to your work
Conduct yourself in an appropriate and professional manner
Be courteous and respectful to your colleagues
Have the ability to stand for long periods of time
Some heavy lifting may be required
