Extrastaff are recruiting Parcel Sorters for a company based just Junction 13 of M1 with immediate starts available. Due to the location of the role own transport is essential.

These roles can lead to full-time employment and is suited for someone looking for a long term placement.

About the role:

You will join a team that processes a large volume of parcels. This is a fast paced role with the Hib processing 10s of thousands of parcel per shift. Parcels may weigh up to 20kg so heavy lifting is involved.

You will work as part of a team to scan parcels efficiently using Hand-Held Terminals and sort them into route numbers from a conveyor. You will also be required to load and unload vehicles so heavy lifting is involved.

Flexibility is crucial for this role as the shift start times will move depending on parcel volume.

Working hours:

£9.50ph then after 12 weeks increases to £10.16ph

The site is open Monday – Friday however working days are flexible and not required to work every day but preferable.

The shifts can last between 6-12 hours.

Start time varies between 6pm and 7pm and finish time between midnight to 3am
