Operations Manager
Salary – £26,000 to £28,000 plus £4,000 car allowance25 days holiday plus 8 days bank holidays, 5% employer pension contribution, Employee Assistance Programme, Access to discounts) We have an opportunity for an Operations Manager to join the team at Complete Care Amegreen. This role is field based therefore a full UK drivers licence and vehicle is essential as you will be covering the High Wycombe and surrounding areas.
Role Objectives & Responsibilities:
To organise, co-ordinate and supervise the operational care delivery within the organisation within the legal and contractual standards relating to the Service. Develop effective working relationships with the Head of Operations (Registered Manager) and Head of Nursing of the organisation. Develop effective working relationships with the SMT and departments.Develop effective working relationships with Clinical Nurse Specialists to co-ordinate safe and effective careTo maintain People Planner/ Mobizio records (including both client and staff requirements) to ensure accurate client records, rota management and payroll and reconcile in line with role and responsibility.Support an open, positive and inclusive management culture.Participate in the evaluation of Complete Care Amegreen against agreed organisational goals, as well as business and quality objectives.To take part in the company on-call rota as required (first line or second line)Work to establish effective employer-employee relationships.Lead on staff HR Matters and liaise with direct line manager and HR department.Minimise legal risks.Participate in the maintenance of Complete Care Amegreen management information systems and digitisation strategy.Assist in the formulation and implementation of company policies and procedures.Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the standards required by legislation related to the registration of Complete Care Amegreen, and other legal requirements.Be involved in the implementation and maintenance of Complete Care Amegreen’s quality assurance programme.Assist in the design and administration of an evaluation of the care standards and care service provision.Systematically solve day-to-day problematical issues which arise.Operationally organise HCAs to ensure that the Clients individual health and care plans are implemented in consultation with the Client, their relatives and key professionals.To implement operational risk assessments and care planning documentation as required by Head of Operations.To take ownership to ensure that all required shifts are covered for Clients.To maintain accurate and up to date staff rotas, anticipating Client requirements at least four weeks in advance.Ensure Clients and their families are kept up to date regarding any adjustments to rotas and staffing in liaison with the rota team.To maintain all company and Client information in line with Integrated Governance policy and procedures.Maintain a safe environment to ensure the safety and well being of all associated with the care of the Client.To formulate assessments, reviews, and provide good written and verbal communication respecting Client confidentiality.Encourage and maintain good relationship with members of the Client’s wider support team (GP / NHS / Therapists)
Main Duties:
Ensure that the Care service is delivered to Clients at the times and for the duration specified in the relevant individual agreement(s) and contract standards. Ensure that the staff allocated, and the staff attending, each Client have the relevant skills, knowledge and resources related to opportunities and needs of that Client, gaining Clinical approval as required. Plan shadow shifts based on client needs and care provision, with a maximum of three shadow shifts unless otherwise directed by Senior Management. Ensure that clients are part of (if applicable) or informed of all cover arrangements, both in a planned and emergency Manage cover issues to mitigate to the fullest extent possible the impact on the Client. Assist in the development of the philosophy, goals and objectives for the Care practice. Assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of Care implementation and delivery. Implement action to meet and maintain Care standards. Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary health teams in order to maximise opportunities for Client therapeutic care. Ensure that the Care service is delivered in a safe and person-centred manner. Ensure the Clients rights are protected. Encourage a model of self-care, positive risk taking and Client rehabilitation. To attend and facilitate regular meetings with line management to appropriately appraise and amend the Clients care package. Maintain and provide documented operational risk assessments on behalf of the Client, HCAs and self within designated working environment and all staff areas, in accordance with Complete Care Amegreen Health and Safety policies. To respond to in a timely manner to reasonable requests by the Client. To implement a working rota for all HCAs, with support from the scheduling team, keeping accurate documentation with regards to absence and absence management, annual leave requests, and all other right to leave policies. Provide regular and effective one to one supervision to the Care Co-ordinator, package Team Leaders and HCAs where present, maintaining supervision records and annual appraisals. To facilitate staff meetings, support colleagues and work as part of a team for the benefit and well-being of the Client and onsite care team. To ensure the attendance for all mandatory training ensuring staff have the relevant skills, knowledge and resources related to the Client. To direct support and supervise all levels of HCAs ensuring professional lines of accountability and priorities are met and that all policies and procedures are strictly adhered to. All Operational Managers are expected to be aware of Complete Care Amegreen’s Equal Opportunities policy.
