A company that is world renowned for providing one of the best e-assessment software and data capturing services is growing. Through this growth, they are adding an additional layer of operations to their team. Our client is seeking a Machine Technician to start in April 2022.
Role: Machine Technician
Department: Product Assembly and Support
Location: Milton Keynes
Day Shift: £12-13 per hour
Night Shift: £13-£14 per hour
JOB SUMMARY
The Machine Technician is a member of a strong technical team focused on providing excellent support to in house designed and built scanners. The support services include, operator training/support, servicing and repairing of scanners in a quality and time critical environment. This position requires excellent technical and diagnostic skills as well as good communication and user engagement skills. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB
*User training in the operation of the scanners.
*Servicing and upgrading of Scanners.
*Repairing of the Scanners down to module level.
*Recording of faults and resolutions.
Other responsibilities associated with the role:
*Information Security – take an active part in the preservation of confidentiality, availability and integrity of information assets used in conducting the role and follow additional security procedures associated with specific activities where applicable.

EXPECTED STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
*Able to work without close supervision
*Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly both in writing and speaking
*Methodical and accurate in working approach with attention to detail
*Co-operative and able to build good working relationships with internal users and customers.
*Able to deliver to time and quality.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
*A logical thinker with excellent diagnostic skills
*Someone with experience on repairing PC based system.
*Experience of repairing/servicing products that are electromechanical i.e. a mix of electronics and mechanical components such as motors and sensors.
*Someone with experience of working on photocopiers, printers and scanners would be ideal.
