Logistics Coordinator/Supervisor
Location – Milton Keynes
Hours – day shift
Salary – competitiveWe are currently supporting a fantastic organisation with their recruitment of a Logistics Coordinator/Supervisor to join their team. The selected candidate will be required to provide supervisor support for any issues concerning the warehouse and logistics.

Provide efficient in, and outbound logistics to support and deliver a high quality support to their customers. Making sure that all agreements with 3rd part logistic providers are met, alongside providing high quality standards and ensuring that internal processes are adhered to, and updated.

Main responsibilities

Management of all warehouse activities, including slitting and rework
Analyse data, and identifying areas of improvement in order to drive process optimisation and implement most efficient tools
Initiate and support cross functional improvement projects
Management communication and escalations with 3rd party freight forwarders to ensure supply to customers
Promote effective and good communication with internal stake holders such as Customer Service, Sales and Material Management
Monitor stock and initiate actions to reduce expired stock, slow mover and scrappage
Perform import and export processes
Support with tenders for Distribution
Validate and approve logistics invoicing
Supervise and perform logistics claims towards internal and external suppliers
Implement new quality standards when required
Support the annual internal audit
Report monthly on certificates
Provide monthly KPI reporting and customer specific logistic reports

Proactively coach and mentor the team to promote continuous improvement

Previous experience within a logistics arena at management level
