Logistics Supervisor

£25,000 – £28,000

Working within our clients Head Office in Milton Keynes, the successful candidate will ideally have experience in Logistics, overseeing a small team within a Warehouse environment. This role is an autonomous and pivotal role within the business, strong organisational skills are essential as are administrative and communication skills. You will need to work closely with other staff to ensure this role operates successfully, it is therefore important that the candidate is familiar dealing professionally with customers and colleagues at all levels.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm with 1 hour for lunch.

Key Activities:

Supervise warehouse, space planning, physical security, arrivals & dispatches
Responsible for the movement of all products in, out and around the business
Team lead two Logistic Operatives, working with them to ensure holiday cover for department
Manage stock levels, stock checks and returns
Management reporting
Warehouse safety
Contribute toward process improvements and space utilisation
Ensure accurate reporting of defective equipment and of shipping issues in a timely manner
Ensure stocks controlled via regular checks in adherence with the group operating procedures along with engineer stock counts
Work with other disciplines to set lowest realistic stock levels
Ensure accurate data recording within the company's stock control system and assist with reconciliation of this with the records held in the financial system

MRP implementation and monitoring
There will from time to time be other ad-hoc tasks, that may reasonably be required but not specified above

Qualifications/Experience Required:

SAP experience
Import/Export training
Experience of overseeing a team
Excellent communicator
Excel competent
Health & Safety training
Numerate
Self-motivated and highly organised
