Logistics Manager with global FMCG – UK – Flexi Working – £60,000 – £70,000 + bonus
I'm currently looking for an experienced and innovative logistics professional, with great people skills, to lead the 3PL warehousing activities and manage a multimillion-pound logistics budget for a world leading food manufacturing company. With the opportunity for up to 50% remote working, this is a customer facing role where you will use excellent collaborative skills to interact with key internal and external stakeholders to maintain and improve all 3PL activities through strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

It would be the perfect opportunity for someone with an IT focus, and WMS and ERP Systems experience, to lead change to the distribution network and develop your own skills in the growing realm of e-commerce.
Distribution Manager, role responsibilities:
Direct 3PL warehousing activities, monitoring KPI's and creating plans to meet and exceed distribution goals as well as provide for continuous operations improvement.
Responsible for establishing procedures, standards, and controls in 3PL areas to ensure completion of inbound, outbound and production schedules.
Formulate strategic direction with 3PL to meet all standards of the company, ensuring compliance and documentation.
Working with customers and internal company operations to ensure warehouse and production activities and schedules are aligned to achieve order requirements and customer satisfaction.
Work with IT on systems upgrades (currently WMS and SAP) and ensure alignment with 3PL systems.
Required skills and experience:
Minimum of 4-6 years of experience within logistics and project management.
An ability to build intimacy and influence customers to find solutions and improvements to drive change with strong negotiation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft packages, WMS and ERP Systems, with SAP knowledge preferred.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, logistics, business, or related is desirable.
