Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location – Maidenhead

My client is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with highways term maintenance background.

Requirements

The role is for Highways Maintenance, and is a high volume/ 'low' value regime. Any candidate would need to be able to understand and deal with works ranging from a £50 pothole to a scheme of circa £2m. We could typically expect to be handling in the region of up to 500 task orders per month in this type of contract. It is not possible for me to overstate the importance of being to deal with this churn on an ongoing basis.
Though a management role, with a small team of reports (currently looking at heading up a team of 4 this is very much a hands on role. The SQS would be required to roll their sleeves up and be involved in the detail.
They must understand contract and change management.
A proficiency in commercial reporting is a must have. This includes production of CVRs and forecasts.
Subcontract production and subcontractor management is also key.Experience

On site experience of 5 + years of maintenance contracts
Experience of onsite measures
NEC form of contract and subcontract conditions
Managing others
