Import and Supply Chain Specialist

Our Milton Keynes Based Client is looking for an Import and Supply Chain Specialist.

Candidates must be energetic, dynamic and quick to learn with a “can do” attitude and willing to go the extra mile.

Requirements

Experience using SAP (Material Management Module) preferred but not essential as training will be given
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Experience with Foreign Trade – Import and Export processes and regulations
Multitask – follow process from price enquiries to customer care
Role Description

•     Plan and manage the flow of goods from international imports.

•     Manage the preparation of documents, e.g. Customs Invoices and Packing Lists.  Coordinate all necessary paperwork to comply with regulations.

•     Communicate between Agents, Brokers, Shippers and Warehouse facilities

•     Expedite shipping of goods into the country.

•     Manage and instruct Customs Broker to conduct clearance of inbound consignment. Resolve any issues to avoid delays. Provide timely and accurate clearance data to Customs in the UK.

•     Monitor Customs legislation changes.

•     Implement internal controls to ensure compliance in respect of Customs.

•     Day-to-day management of Purchase Orders and receipt of deliveries.

•     Plan logistics/deliveries from suppliers, liaising with all external stakeholders involved in the process.

•     Set safety stock levels. Prevent excess inventory.

•     Maintain long term stock replenishment schedule/plan.

•     Communicate material shortages affected by production and take appropriate actions.

•     Maintain material master data records for ensuring accuracy.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm
