A fantastic opportunity is available to train to become an HGV2 Recovery Driver / LGVC Recovery Patrol for this prestigious, national Roadside & Recovery organisation. Based from a depot in Leighton Buzzard, nr Luton and working on a temp-to-perm basis, the successful candidate will receive full training, weekly pay and overtime opportunities along with the opportunity to help people in a genuine time of need.
Job Title: HGV2 Recovery Driver / LGVC Recovery Patrol
Location: Leighton Buzzard, nr Luton
Salary: £12.52 per hour – £13.52 per hour depending upon day of week.
£14.85 for night shift on overtime.
Basic Annual Salary: £27,000 based on 42 hours per week. Additional wages can be earned through overtime on either day or night shifts.
Job-Type: Temp-to-Perm opportunity; 3-month temporary on the agency with view to transferring to a permanent contract after successful probation period.
Training start date: March 2022
Description: When it comes to breakdown and recovery this company are an internationally recognised house-hold name and the successful Recovery Driver will join this friendly, professional and hardworking team. Main duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
· Attending broken down cars and light vans by the roadside
· Loading and transporting broken down vehicles and their occupants from the roadside to a designated drop off point
· Assisting the company’s members in a stressful time of need
Skills & Experience: No previous experience is needed as full training is given. To be considered for the role you must be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative. Candidates must have the following skills:
· Full HGV2 / LGVC Licence or higher (no more than 6 points for minor endorsements and no outstanding DD, DR or CD penalty points) and a minimum of 1-years current commercial driving experience.
· Digi Tacho
· Drivers CPC
· Confident and personable when talking to customers
· Willing to work in all weather conditions
· Empathetic and appreciative of the stressful situation that customers can find themselves in

Hours: 12 hours per shift (average 42 hours per week) plus overtime if required.
Shifts: Day Shift: 4 on / 4 off roster (08:00 and 11:00 start times), will include weekend working as part of the roster.
Training: 2-weeks residential training in the West Midlands (weekly salary paid plus accommodation, subsistence and transport provided).
Vetting: All candidates will be fully vetted once a conditional offer of employment has been signed. Vetting includes employment and character references, criminal records check, proof of right to work and credit & sanctions checks. These are all part the of the company’s policies and procedures and relevant for the industry and services that they provide
