We’re now looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join our team in Milton Keynes and ensure we are working to best practice.

The Role
As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will be tasked with ensuring we operate to best practice by providing advice, guidance, assistance, support and recommendations.
Supporting Area and Operational Managers within the Landfill Division with continual improvement activities, you will seek to raise and maintain H&S standards and monitor performance against targets and objectives.
You will develop local initiatives to deliver to requirements and participate and lead (where required) the development of a positive safety culture to meet compliance needs.
Additionally, you will:
– Support the development and implementation of a Health & Safety plan
– Carry out planned Health and Safety inspections / sampling of premises, work activities, and processes
– Participate in a programme of active monitoring task / behaviour across the Group
– Carry out staff Health and Safety training
– Actively participate within the Group Safety Health Environment and Quality Managers Working Groups
– Review health and safety policies and procedures
– Participate in procedural reviews and make recommendations for changes
– Liaise as required with external regulatory authorities
– Prohibit any works with the risk of serious or imminent personal injury exists
About You
To be considered as a Health & Safety Advisor, you will need:
– Experience in a similar H&S role
– A NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent
– To be a member of IOSH
– Good knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation
– A full, valid driving licence
Experience of working in the Waste Disposal, Recycling, Collections, or Quarries Industry would be an advantage.
