Head of Operations (East)

Salary – £70,000 – £85,000 depending on experience

Benefits – Car Allowance (5-6k), Bonus (up to 30%)

Based – Flexible across East of England – Candidate must be prepared to travel regionally.

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leading position within our LPG distribution operation in the UK. As the Head of Operations (East) you would be responsible for delivering excellence in business performance across 10 depots in the East of England, driving customer service, whilst improving operational efficiency, safety and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will effective management skills, previously managed a similar operation and show proven change management skills from their previous work history.

The regional responsibility involves travel across Hull to Birmingham to Oxford to Southampton to London to Peterborough.

What do we need from you?

​Previous experience of managing a multi-site logistics operation – LPG not essential
Sounds transport knowledge – CPC National
Solid understanding of driver safety
Proven leader of others and innovator of processes
Proven track record of driving continuous operational improvements and efficiencies
Track record of delivering high level change management
Full – UK drivers licence (no more than 6 points)You would be responsible for;

Leadership and engagement of the operations team within the East Region (10 sites)
Improving driver performance, cost efficiencies and high standards of customer service
Ensuring the safety of employees, customers and the wider public by driving HSE compliance
Engage with sales colleagues to support profit and volume growth
Accountable for cost and capital budget expenditure within targets
Ensure effective transport management within the region (including compliance with company and legislative rules in relation to vehicle maintenance and driver management)
