Our client with extensive experience across the food, beverage and nutritional product sector are looking for an experienced warehouse / Good's In Operative for their factory based in High Wycombe.
Previous knowledge of loading/unloading, booking in experience is crucial, as is flexibllity & agility to your work. If you have driven or have a forklift truck licence this would be an advantage.
The hours are days 8-4 Monday – Friday, 35 hours a week with the potential of overtime which is paid at time & a half during the week and double time at the weekend.
Key Objectives of the Role are as follows:
Within this role you will maintain storage areas, as well as load and unload delivery vehicles, carefully checking goods supplied against paperwork. You will adopt safe manual handling, lifting and carrying goods (up to 25kg) and making use of the forklift tricks, both Reach and Counterbalance.
Receiving deliveries, ensuring that all vehicle and materials accepted meet quality, food safety, inventory accuracy and health and safety standards. Report all non-conformities identified and raise any issues with the Supervisor or the quality assurance/food safety teams.
Carrying out case/bag picking, part weighing and pallet movements through operating reach trucks, counter balance trucks and Bendi trucks using the Microsoft AX operating system movements through operating reach trucks, counter balance trucks and Bendi trucks using the Microsoft AX operating system.
Objectives, Roles and Responsibilities. Maintain inventory accuracy through accurate booking goods receipts in, picking and achieving location accuracy of 99%. Maintain supply of materials for processing to meet the plan. Receive, check and put away incoming deliveries. Accurate loading of finished goods ensuring clearance within 24 hours. Adhere to all warehouse SOPs and safe systems of work.
High level of accuracy of booking in good receipts. Supplying materials for processing and manufacturing lines as required. Perform work activities in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and quality procedures to ensure best practice food safety standards are met. Demonstrate good safe working practices.
To undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required in accordance with the needs of the business. Assist Supervisor and Lead Operator to ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed. To correctly carry out any required quality checks and constantly monitor the quality of the product being delivered/despatched.
Ensure FLT equipment is maintained in a clean, safe working condition. Maintain appropriate information systems including AX, process control sheets and other documentation as required. Assist with the training of other employees and undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required in accordance with the needs of the business. Ensure that any shortages are clearly identified and recorded at all stages.
Help ensure that wastage is minimised by checking material use by dates and making sure that the shortest shelf-life materials are always picked first. Carrying out warehouse maintenance and spot checks. Advise on any discrepancy's promptly; marking paperwork and making Supervisors aware accordingly. Maintain stock securely and in good condition.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill and Experience (Required to perform the job)
Good levels of written and spoken English.FLT Licence. Understanding of inventory control and cycle counting and its place within the business. Ability to identify and solve problems effectively. Professional and mature approach to business problems. Experience of working on own initiative. Experience of working with a wide variety of people and customers at different levels in the organisation.
