What is the purpose of this role?
Amey MKWRP looking for a Night Fitter to join their team at the Milton Keynes waste plant which has been running successfully for five years and employing 60 staff.
What will this role involve?
The successful Fitter will have the following duties:
• Providing plant wide maintenance service, departmental support and mechanical repairs ensuring that all production targets are maintained.
• Daily liaison with the MBT Engineer to ensure that all production maintenance requirements are undertaken
• Ability to diagnose problems effectively and carry out necessary repairs
• Experience in servicing, maintaining and repairing
• Electrical and Hydraulics knowledge would be an advantage
• Good communication skills
• Maintenance background in a manufacturing industry
• Experience of engineering – mechanical and/or electrical
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
What are we looking for?
• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship and Qualification
• Flexible & self-motivated working attitude
• Ability to fault find, repair and provide solutions to problems
• Computer literate
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Must have experience of mechanical assembly
• Previous experience of machine building.
