Technical Estimator

Milton Keynes

Salary – £45,000 – £60,000

A fantastic opening has arisen for a Technical Estimator, to work for a specialist HV/LV Electrical Contractor, based in Milton Keynes. If you are an Estimator with HV experience, and can start immediately, you don't want to miss out on this amazing opportunity!

The ideal candidate will use their Electrical industry experience and knowledge to provide detailed estimates for client projects, including cost estimates, work time estimates, and overall customer satisfaction.

As the Electrical Estimator, your key responsibilities will include:

Prepare cost budgets and cost estimates for new contracts
Ensure consistency across all project estimating and pricing, including making amendments and providing new cost estimates
Focus on maximising profit and customer satisfaction, while minimising any potential risks to the company
Prepare detailed, well-written proposals for each Client, adhering to Client guidelines while offering competitive and comprehensive cost estimates, and including supplementary documentation
Maintain relationships with existing Clients keeping a sales-minded attitude and seek out and build relationships with new Clients
Work with the Sales & Estimating Manager and Design Team to help with development, innovation, and creativity on Client projects
Keep detailed records of all estimation documentation, including site assessments and contract terms
Balance multiple proposals and estimations at once, ensuring each reaches the Client by the deadline
Maintain business development and innovate new profitable outcomes Experience, Qualifications & Skills:

Experience in the industry, Electrical services such as HV switchgear, generators and Electricity Supply Industry – (DNO) experience would be an advantage
Minimum of 5 Years' experience working within a fast-moving dynamic engineering company
Educated to HNC/HND level (or equivalent)
Strong customer-facing skills, with sales, customer service, self-management, and initiative
Ability to manage workloads in a timely, self-motivating manner with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Valid Driver's License, with ability to visit client premises and sites
