Drivers Mate / Porter

£9 an hour

Role Profile
Our client, a rapidly growing national transport business, are looking for Drivers Mates/Porters to join their operation based in the Milton Keynes area.

This is a customer facing role in which you will interact with customers over the phone and liaise with them when delivering goods to their home.

This is a physical role which involves moving heavy goods off vehicles and in to customers' homes.

This role is 5 days a week out of 6 between Monday and Saturday, so Saturday work is included.

Responsibilities

Call and liaise with customers regarding deliveries and delivery times.
Speak to customers face to face upon arrival and help with the logistics of moving the items in to their home.
Work with the driver to install and move items into the delivery location
Support the driver with day-to-day tasks and securing the loads in the vehicle.

It is essential you have the following skills and experience;

Customer facing role.
Have worked in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail.
Organised and have the ability to work on own initiative.
Strong work ethic
Good standard of numeracy
