Drainage Operative

We are looking for someone who is interested in starting a career as a drainage operative with the oppertunity of progressing in the company. You must have a driving license and own vehicle.

You will normally be working in teams of 2 and full training will be given.

Jet washing
Lifting manhole covers of up to 50kg (two-person lift if applicable)
Bending to fill the jetter.
Dragging the hose from the reel and coiling the hose back using the auto-rewind mechanism

Jetting by hand, effectively a tug of war movement of up to 4000psi, but on average 2500psi

Gulley sucking
Lifting gulley's of up to 40kg on a hinge
Holding the equipment with very high-water pressure, this could involve kneeling and use of great upper body strength.
Miscellaneous
Cleaning vehicles & Equipment
Duties in the yard as requested.
Completing paperwork
Attend training courses.

This is a full time position and you will be working an early / Late shift pattern approx. 40 hrs per week.
