Data Analyst – Utilities sector – Home based
Location:- Home Based (Trips to clients sites will be across the West Midlands region but only once or twice a month)
Salary:- £24,000 – £28,000 basic
(Depends on experience within the Utilities sector and Stakeholder communication)
Role:
You will be working with in a Consultancy with a number of projects based across the West Midlands that require Data resource. Someone that can check the data, collate the information from the stakeholders and use raw data sets to spot patterns and trends. Home based with minimal travel to client sites or the main office based in Warwick as required by meetings but 90% of the time will be home based with MS Teams meeting to set your agender and work flow with the Programme Managers.
Skills required:
Data cleaning and preparation – Retrieve data from stakeholders, process data to remove duplicates and errors, communicate with related stakeholders to improve data accuracy
Data analysis – Use raw data sets to identify correlations and patterns to help the business make informed decisions
Data visualisations – Use tools and techniques to visualise data in easy-to-understand formats
Structure data – Organise and transform data into logical structures (e.g. based on workflow, from high-level to detailed level info etc.)
Create dashboards / reports – Customise dashboard/report based on business needs and establish an optimised reporting process (automate as much as possible to reduce reporting time)
Domain knowledge – Water/gas industry background, understand key terminology relating to business process/KPIs.Required Experience:
HNC/HND Ideally in Digital / Data / Engineering related subject
Experience of the Utilities sector, just understanding how they work will be a good grounding for this position.
Driving license as you may be required to come into the office for client meetings if required in the future. This would be more ad-hoc and may not even be required due to the current COVID policies.To Apply:
