Continuous Improvement/ Projects Engineer

Continuous Improvement/ Projects Engineer with a proven all round multi skilled background required for a leading Manufacturer based in Milton Keynes. Do you enjoy the variation of the old school and modern machinery?
We are looking for people who enjoy variation and can turn their hand to anything.
We are looking for an engineer who is self-motivated and has a mechanical /electrical engineering background, with a good understanding of continuous improvement.
You must have a hands – on approach and be responsible for resolving lost time issues Improving the machine OEE and facility uptime with engineering solutions.
Co-ordinate and deliver projects, reliability actions and initiatives and provide technical assistance where required. The position will ensure machine and process performance is optimised and will target OEE improvement.
Working closely with operations the engineer will work to improve compliance, safety, equipment reliability, product quality, scrap and cost savings.

A Mechanical qualification / Apprenticeship and experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing environment is essential.
Skills required:
Engineering background in a manufacturing industry preferred
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Operate a variety of machine tools – lathe, milling machine, band saw, grinders, press tools and welding
Experience of pneumatics and hydraulics
PC Literate (MS Office)
Ability to use MEWP and FLT would be an advantage
Possess a Welding certificate
Awareness of YPM/PPM/OEE/5sTo be considered for the role you must have –
ONC, OND, HNC/D, DEGREE and/or Served a full engineering indentured apprenticeship (qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent)
