My client provides services to a wide range of industries including: Private Water companies; Fish Farming; Pulp & paper; Distilleries, Beverage Industry, Distilleries and Food Equipment and is seeking looking for a Compliance Officer to assist the team with their goal of a fully compliant business. The successful candidate will manage and deliver the compliance requirements for both the company and the client. Applicants must be able to demonstrate skills for identifying and addressing failures, building a strong relationship with the teams. Aiding and assisting where required, complete onsite inspections and audits. Applicants will also be required to build a database for identifying common trends these include positives findings as well as areas of improvements. The individual will be required to deliver findings to the Manager Director on a monthly basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Coach teams to ensure the jobs are delivered safely
Work closely with Managing Director to ensure that business compliance priorities are met within agreed timelines.
Create, maintain and update management system. Monitoring the system for ensuring compliance is met, these include legislation/regulation standards, customer requirements, client expectations, internal and external audits
Be familiar with water hygiene
Ensure business compliance with all health, safety procedures and processes.
Support in audit procedures covering both internal and external audits covering both site and offices, working alongside other departments and clients compliance team to ensure any non-conformances raised are addressed in a timely manner.
An ability to present a plan of action when any non-conformances have been identified, watch for changes in the industry or client requirements and deliver these changes.
Monitor and maintain all agreed departmental KPI's.
What you will need for the role / what it will take
Familiarity with ISO 45001, 9001, 14001
Can demonstrate a 'can-do' attitude
An understanding of high standards the company are aiming for.
An understanding of the principles hazard management and using compliance to manage the risk
A high level of concentration and attention to detail, combined with a commitment to 'right first time'.
Policy writing as required
Inherent understanding of site hygiene, technical, QA and Health & Safety requirements.
Advanced computer knowledge (spreadsheets, word processing, e-mail).
Excellent communicator at all levels. Able to positively influence internal and external customers, staff and senior management with confidence in own ability.
Experience in delivering presentations
