The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an ambitious Commercial Manager, with a strong understanding and background of contract and supplier management, to join our progressive Waste Treatment business at Amey.
Milton Keynes Waste Recovery Park brings together state-of-the-art mechanical treatment and heat energy recovery technologies to make the most of Milton Keynes' black sack waste rubbish, in a sustainable way. The energy produced from our park provides enough energy to power the equivalent of 11,000 homes, whilst reducing landfill and saving Milton Keynes Council money on its waste management bill.

Experience required
This role would suit a Commercial Manager with a demonstrable background in subcontractor / supplier management, including negotiating on occasionally tricky aspects of a contract.
Experience with PFI contracts is highly desirable, as is a background within the waste treatment sector (though this is not required).
Your commercial and contract experience may have grown from a finance or legal background within a large multi-disciplinary organisation.
A degree or relevant qualification would be beneficial. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be competent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel).
Fundamentally this role would suit a knowledgeable Commercial / Contract Manager, or Assistant Manager looking to take their next step in their career
