We are looking for Class 2 HIAB drivers (Brick Grab with Remote) to work on a 6-month contract commencing Tuesday 6th April as relief drivers for a national builder's merchants.

The successful candidates will be paid a weekly rate of between £607.50 (Standard PAYE – NOT LTD OR UMBRELLA) and will be expected to make deliveries of building materials to residential and business customers.

As a relief driver you could be asked to work at any of our customers depots within a 50-mile radius from your home branch and will be paid an additional mileage expense for travel over a 60-mile round trip.

The work will generally be Monday to Friday, but you will need to be on-call two Saturdays in a month, and if (not often) called in would have to attend the relevant depot (this will be paid if you haven't worked 45 hours after breaks in the week).

In the unlikely event, that no driving work is available at any of our customers depots you will need to report into your home branch and could be asked to complete other non-driving activities.

Candidates must have:

A valid HIAB / Lorry Loader with Brick Grab attachment and remote qualification (this must be listed on your card and certificate) held for at least 6 months;
At least 6 months experience operating and working in the capacity of delivering building materials using a lorry loader crane;
UK Class 2 Licence held for at least 12 months;
Valid CPC and DIGI Tacho Card;
No more than 6 points for minor offences only (No DR, DD, CD, TT or IN offences); and
Working times will vary but a typical day will last around 8-10 hours (start times from (Apply online only))This is a great opportunity to have security of work for at least 6 months (most relief drivers tend to keep working until around the end of November), so please apply asap to avoid disappointment
