A leading national data and networking infrastructure distributor is looking for an entrepreneurial and sales-focused Business Manager to run their business in Milton Keynes. The business supply into the wholesale marketplace, security and telecoms industries and are part of a global group of companies employing over 1,700 people throughout the UK. With year on year growth and a current group UK turnover of over £900 million, they are an established business with a fantastic reputation.

The Opportunity

The role of a Business Manager within this group is an exciting one where you will have full control of running, in effect, your own business. You will have full autonomy and freedom over stock, purchasing, staffing, logistics, trading hours and much more.

You'll be managing a highly reputable and successful cabling solutions business that is part of a market-leading group that continues to grow through acquisitions and the high-quality service they provide to their clients. They pride themselves on building long-lasting relationships with their customers, suppliers and employees.

As a Business Manager, you will be responsible for the running of the entire business including:

Developing and maintaining relationships with both new and existing customers
Be at the forefront of managing relationships with suppliers
Mentoring and development of all staff within the business
Ensure the achievement of your set targets and objectives
Be instrumental in ensuring continued business growth Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should be:

From a wholesale and distribution background
An excellent negotiator in sales and purchasing
Highly motivated with a proven track record of developing long-lasting relationships with both suppliers and customers
A natural leader who is keen to either step up to management or looking for a new challenge within their managerial careerRewards Package

Starting salary of £45,000 – £55,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
