Our client, who have a powerful presence in the aerospace and defence sector, are looking for System Engineers, based in Buckinghamshire with the flexibility of hybrid working.
Working with a team of System Engineers you will be responsible for a range of tasks throughout the lifecycle of a project. You will support the design, development and verification of the products and will have the opportunity to engage with the customers and support system integration.
Other responsibilities will include:
– Development of solutions to complex problems, using a systems thinking mind-set to ensure the solution best meets customer needs
– Support the full systems development lifecycle from bids through to production, following the systems V Model
– Analysis of requirements at a customer level and decomposition into requirement sets at a systems and sub-system level (including requirement authorship, validation, development of Concept of Operations and potential systems architectural designs)
– A focus on acceptance criteria from the early stage of the engineering development, gaining agreement with the customer
To be considered for this role, you will have:
– Knowledge of CAP670 and DEF STAN 972, with ability to assess compliance against standards
– Experience of systems engineering toolsets such as requirements management (DOORS), modelling and simulation (SYSML, MATLAB, Simulink)
– Systems engineering design experience, such as architectural design and requirements analysis including decomposition to hardware/software would be advantageous
– Knowledge of configuration management
– Must have or be able to obtain Security Clearance
This role requires candidates who have previous System Engineering experience within Defence or similar with a relevant Degree or equivalent. Candidates with ex-military backgrounds or knowledge in Air Traffic Control Systems would be highly beneficial, along with other Electrical Systems.
The role is offering a salary of up to £50,000 plus 5% bonus, 8% matched pension scheme and additional flexible benefits.
