Veterinary Advisor required for a 12-month contract role with a leading multinational client based in Milton Keynes.
Responsibilities
• Veterinary Advisor responsible for our customer’s perception of the technical team as the experts in the market areas in which we participate.
• To service any small animal technical queries or complaints in order that the Company may provide a high quality, professional veterinary sales support for its products.
• Ensure all cases are entered on MAXX correctly.
• Support the TPS VA lead to update and maintain the Knowledgebase information sharing site.
• Be responsible for remaining compliant with the NOAH code as well as pharmacovigilance requirements.
• Support the TPS team to ensure they remain compliant with requirements.
• Support the TPS VA lead to develop and maintain the TPS team technical knowledge. Identify ongoing technical training needs of the team. Deliver comprehensive in-house technical training at various levels and time points as required to ensure that staff are correctly trained on the small animal products and markets as well as off label advice.
• Maintain logs of training that is completed with the TPS team and feedback to the TPS VA lead (and Companion Animal Technical Lead as required).
• Responsibility for UK Technical expertise for an allocated Brand / disease area as assigned by the Companion Animal Technical Team Lead.
• Active contribution to technical meetings – feedback from TPS activity and identify gaps and needs from interaction with customers.
• Identify relevant areas from brand / disease responsibility to train the wider technical (and sales) team and deliver this in a timely manner ensuring effective dissemination of technical expertise.
• Hold responsibility for the technical accuracy, NOAH compliance and initial sign off of marketing campaigns and materials for allocated Brands.
Requirements
• A UK-recognised veterinary degree and MRCVS.
• Minimum 3 years of working within UK Companion Animal First Opinion Practice.
• The ability to communicate technical training.
• Ability to brief and manage the relationship with external stakeholders and influencers.
• Ability to handle confidential issues.
• Critical reasoning and analysis of technical papers.
• A veterinary or other post-graduation qualification in relevant area of interest.
• Understanding of the pharmaceutical sales function.
• Commercial acumen including good understanding of industry-relevant financial data.
• Network of Key Opinion Leader relationships.
