We are one of the largest and best known Pharmaceutical companies in the industry and our products are known globally.
We are looking to recruit a Pharmacovigilance Veterinary Officer to join us on an initial 9 month full time contract with 3 days on site and 2 days home working.
The role will use technical expertise to:
* Support the Pharmacovigilance Manager in maintaining, developing and implementing PV/PQC compliance procedures. Support Pharmacovigilance case setting, with some support of Product Quality Complaint (PQC) handling.
* Priority is given to case setting which must be completed to a high standard within short deadlines. This involves working with our technical and veterinary teams who gather the case information, to ensure that information gained is sufficient to set accurate cases.
* The role will assist the Pharmacovigilance Manager with the development and implementation of Pharmacovigilance and PQC compliance procedures in line with internal and external requirements. This may include but is not limited to writing and giving training on SOP’s, review of Market Research and Post Authorisation Study data and case reconciliation.
* It is expected that 85-95% of the role will be Pharmacovigilance case setting and 5-15% completing additional responsibilities assigned by the Pharmacovigilance Manager. The split of activities in the role may change depending on the business demands within the Pharmacovigilance department.
Essential
* A UK recognised veterinary degree and Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS)
* >Or = 1 year in practice
* Sound veterinary knowledge in all species
* Sound decision making skills
* Able to work to deadlines
* Able to prioritise own workload
* Good team player
* Accurate under pressure
* Attention to detail
* Able to assess and analyse information
* Excellent written and oral communication
* IT literate – familiar with the practical application of IT in a commercial environment, ideally using MS Office
* Ability to handle confidential issues
Preferable
* PV Works experience
* Pharmacovigilance or Technical Support in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry
