Swab Test Assistants are needed to safely guide people through the swab test process at Covid19 testing sites in Uxbridge, Slough, Dartford, Reading, Solihull, Chester, Bristol, Manchester and Leeds. The Swab Test Assistants must have strong communication, people-facing, and IT skills. The Swab Test Assistants will have attention to detail and be able to work 12-hour days. Training and PPE is provided.

Applications from suitably experienced ex-military personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy or Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged.

Key Responsibilities:

Meet and greet who require testing, ensuring you have checked their personal details against the information provided and adhered to all trust data protection policies and procedures.

Using the safety equipment and PPE provided ensure all tests are carried out effectively.

Ensure all equipment is set up and ready for the day ahead.

Make sure tests are appropriately sealed and labelled sending them in accordance with Trust guidance in a timely manner.

Follow all infection control protocols ensuring the safety of yourself, colleagues and patients at all times.

Use Trust IT systems as required to ensure all appointments and patient information is up to date.

Person Specification:

Strong communication skills

Strong customer service skills and a customer centred approach

Good computer literacy and ability to use apps

Attention to detail

Full UK driving licence

Hours:

5 days a week – 12-hour shift patterns (no nights)

Salary:

£11 per hour
