My client is a global leader in flavour. With 11,000 employees around the world and more than $4.8 billion in annual sales in 2017, the Company manufactures, markets and distributes flavours, spices, seasoning mixes, condiments and other flavourful products to the entire food industry, retail outlets, food manufactures and food service businesses
They are now recruiting for a Sensory and Insight Scientist to join their EMEA Headquarters in Buckinghamshire.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
* Advise on appropriate sensory and consumer science methodologies and provide clear research proposals to meet the objectives of internal and external stakeholders and related projects, ensuring the action standards are met.
* Provide data analysis and interpretation of results, share with stakeholders in an appropriate format and provide clear actionable recommendations to the business.
* Demonstrate thought leadership and provide forward-thinking insights building aligned with EMEA strategies and to support business decisions.
* Manage consumer validation requirements to deliver actionable business insights and validation
* Work closely with the regional team to follow and drive implementation of regional and global best practices, international standards.
* Customer Intimacy & Relationship Building
* Work closely with R&D and Commercial stakeholders, and Insights to manage expectations and requirements and be the key support for any ad hoc sensory related activities
CANDIDATE PROFILE
* You will ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working within an FMCG, food, flavour, food ingredients business in Sensory & Consumer Science
* A background in Sensory Science, Food Science or related discipline
* A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field with a Sensory/Consumer Science focus
* Have the capability to carry out complex data analysis and data interpretation and deliver outcome tailored to audience/requirements
* Sound knowledge of advanced statistical analysis methods
* Ability to prioritise and meeting tight timelines
* Flexible approach to manage changing priorities
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Fully operational in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Enthusiastic about food
