Job Title: SENIOR CARER – PERMANENT
SETTING: Residential Home, Amersham, HP6
( just under 1 mile from Amersham underground station)
Elderly, Dementia, Special Needs
DAY & NIGHT SHIFTS AVAILABLE,
DAY SHIFT: 8am – 8pm
NIGHT SHIFT: 8am – 8pm
RATE £10.50 TO £11.00
ESSENTIAL: Must have or be working towards Level 3 Health & Social Care
What we are looking for
You’re someone that cares for others and wants to make a real difference to people’s lives. You will be someone that can lead by example. u will have at least a level 3 in Health & Social Care, you will be able to lead a team of carers, supervising them and supporting them especially in the busy times with personal carer and toileting our residents. You understand there will be challenging days, but you’ll also laugh, have fun and make lasting memories with our residents. A great communicator, you’ll enjoy working in a close-knit team that feels like a family, with people from all walks of life. You’ll cherish the rewarding moments you have with our residents each and every day.
Your typical day
* Responsible for medication rounds and ordering the monthly medication in accordance with our policies and procedures
* Supporting the Manager with the carer supervisions
* Communicating with our local GP, hospitals and other professionals
* Updating and adding new residents to our electronic care plan system
* Ensure monthly and weekly checks to monitor the health of our residents and reporting any significant changes are being carried out
* Supporting at meal times: serving meals and transferring residents to the dining room. This might involve supporting them to walk, transferring them in a wheelchair or using a hoist
* Admin duties: updating food, fluid and stool charts, supplementary files, daily notes and care plans
* Attending staff meetings
