NHS Test and Trace is looking for someone with laboratory technician and section supervisor experience in the Milton Keynes area to join the team as their experienced Section Supervisor to work on a fixed-term contract basis. The Science-based role comes with a salary of £32,918 p/a and some excellent company benefits.

As a Section Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations associated with the COVID-19 daily testing of samples. You will manage and train laboratory operators and a team to aid development and progression.

Working closely with the section manager and other section supervisors developing SARS-CoV-2 RNA testing processes
Helping the section manager create and review technical documents/SOPs in line with relevant accreditation using the laboratory quality management systems
Assisting with troubleshooting and help ensure the validity and quality of results
To apply for this section manager and laboratory analyst role, you will be a proven team player with experience in molecular biology methods and people management.You'll also require the following:

A BSc Honours degree in a biological science
Experience maintaining documents and procedures within laboratory accreditation specifications
Experience using liquid handling robots (e.g. TECAN liquid handling systems)
Experience in viral RNA testing using real-time (RT) PCR methodology or end-point PCRIn return, you'll receive comprehensive training on relevant lab procedures and equipment, with fantastic benefits.
